General Terms and Conditions
of Ricano GmbH
1. Scope
The following General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through our online shop.
Our online shop is aimed exclusively at consumers.
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.
A business is a natural or legal person, or a partnership with legal capacity, who, when entering into a legal transaction, acts in the exercise of their trade, business or independent professional activity.
2. Contracting Party
The purchase contract is concluded with:
Ricano GmbH
Auguststraße 1
53229 Bonn
Germany
Further company and contact details can be found in our Legal Notice.
3. Conclusion of Contract and Correction Options
The presentation of products in our online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather a non-binding invitation to place an order.
You may first add the desired products to the cart without obligation. You may change your entries at any time before submitting the order, using the correction options provided and explained during the ordering process.
By clicking the order button, you submit a binding offer to conclude a purchase contract for the goods contained in the cart.
Immediately after submitting your order, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt of your order by email. This order confirmation does not yet constitute acceptance of your offer.
We accept your offer by sending a shipping confirmation by email. The purchase contract is concluded upon your receipt of the shipping confirmation.
Should you not receive a shipping confirmation within two days of placing your order, you are no longer bound by your offer. Any payments already made will be refunded promptly in this case.
The mere authorisation, reservation or pre-authorisation charge of a payment method does not yet constitute acceptance of your order.
4. Contract Language and Storage of Contract Text
The languages available for concluding the contract are German and English.
We store the contract text and send you the order details as well as these General Terms and Conditions by email after you place your order.
If you have set up a customer account, you can view your orders within your customer account.
5. Prices and Shipping Costs
All prices stated in the online shop are total prices and include statutory value-added tax, where applicable.
Shipping costs may apply in addition to the stated product prices. The applicable shipping costs will be shown with the offers and, at the latest, before you place your binding order in the ordering process.
For deliveries to countries outside the European Union, additional customs duties, import turnover taxes, levies or fees may apply. These are not charged by us, but by the responsible customs or tax authorities of the destination country.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in the ordering process, such duties, taxes, levies and fees are to be borne by the customer.
We recommend that you inform yourself about possible additional costs with the responsible authorities of the destination country before placing your order.
6. Delivery Terms and Delivery Area
We deliver worldwide to the delivery countries selectable in the online shop and ordering process.
The applicable delivery times are stated with the respective product or in the ordering process.
Delivery is made to the delivery address provided by the customer during the ordering process.
If a delivery cannot be made for reasons the customer is responsible for, the customer may be required to bear the reasonable additional shipping costs incurred as a result. This does not apply where the customer effectively exercises their statutory right of withdrawal and is not responsible for the failed delivery.
Should an ordered item exceptionally be unavailable, we will inform you promptly. Any payments already made for the unavailable item will be refunded promptly.
7. Collection
You generally have the option of collecting your order at the following address:
Ricano GmbH
Auguststraße 1
53229 Bonn
Germany
Collection is possible Monday to Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Please wait for our notification that your order is ready for collection before collecting it.
8. Payment Methods
The payment methods listed below are generally available in our online shop. The payment methods specifically available for a given order will be shown to you during the ordering process.
8.1 Advance Payment
If you select advance payment, we will provide our bank details in a separate email.
Delivery takes place after the full invoice amount has been received in our account.
8.2 Cash on Collection
When collecting your order, you may pay the invoice amount in cash on site.
8.3 Cash on Delivery
If you select cash on delivery, you pay the invoice amount directly to the delivery person.
In addition to the purchase price and standard shipping costs, a cash-on-delivery fee of €9.50 applies.
Cash on delivery is only available for the delivery countries and orders designated accordingly during the ordering process.
8.4 PayPal
If you select a payment method offered through PayPal, payment processing is carried out by:
PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.
22–24 Boulevard Royal
L-2449 Luxembourg
To pay via PayPal, you must generally be registered with PayPal, authenticate yourself with your login details and confirm the payment instruction.
The specific PayPal payment methods available will be shown during the ordering process. The terms agreed between you and PayPal additionally apply to payment processing.
8.5 Klarna – Invoice Purchase
If you select Klarna invoice purchase, payment processing is carried out by:
Klarna Bank AB (publ)
Sveavägen 46
111 34 Stockholm
Sweden
The invoice amount is to be paid directly to Klarna in accordance with the payment terms communicated by Klarna.
Use of Klarna invoice purchase may in particular be subject to an identity and credit check by Klarna. We have no influence on Klarna's decision regarding the provision of this payment method.
The payment information and terms applicable to the invoice purchase will be communicated to you during the ordering process or by Klarna after the order is completed.
8.6 Credit Card
If you select credit card as your payment method, you enter your credit card details during the ordering process.
Your credit card will be charged in accordance with the terms shown during the ordering process, via the payment service provider we use.
The credit card types accepted for your order will be shown during the ordering process.
Any authorisation or reservation of the invoice amount on your credit card that may already occur prior to the conclusion of the contract does not yet constitute acceptance of your order by us.
9. Retention of Title
The delivered goods remain our property until the purchase price has been paid in full.
10. Statutory Right of Withdrawal
Consumers are generally entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts.
Details on the conditions, deadlines, consequences and exercise of the right of withdrawal can be found in our separate withdrawal instructions.
We also provide the statutory model withdrawal form separately.
11. Return Shipping Costs on Withdrawal
In the event of a valid withdrawal, you bear the direct costs of returning the goods, provided you were properly informed of this before placing your order.
For goods that cannot be returned by parcel post, the estimated return costs are stated in the withdrawal instructions.
12. Voluntary 30-Day Right of Return
In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, we grant you a voluntary right of return of a total of 30 days from receipt of the goods for items purchased from us.
To meet the return deadline, it is sufficient to send the goods back within the 30-day return period in time.
The voluntary right of return applies only to goods that are complete, undamaged, unworn, and not used beyond the extent necessary to check their nature, characteristics and function.
Where possible, goods should be returned with the original labels attached and in the original packaging. The absence or damage of the original packaging alone does not automatically exclude the statutory right of withdrawal.
You bear the direct costs of returning goods under the voluntary right of return.
Upon proper return, we will refund the purchase price paid for the returned goods. Costs for a special delivery method beyond our cheapest standard delivery will not be refunded.
The refund will generally be made using the same payment method you used for the original payment, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
The voluntary right of return does not apply to:
- goods not purchased in our online shop,
- goods that have been damaged, soiled, washed, altered, or worn beyond a mere try-on,
- goods whose protective or hygiene seals have been removed for health or hygiene reasons, where return of these goods is legally excluded,
- gift vouchers and other intangible services, insofar as legally permissible.
The statutory right of withdrawal and statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by the voluntary right of return. Within the statutory withdrawal period, only the more favourable statutory provisions apply to you, insofar as the terms of our voluntary right of return differ.
13. Transport Damage
If goods arrive with obvious transport damage, please report such damage to the delivery person immediately, if possible, and contact us without delay.
Failure to file a complaint or contact us has no effect on your statutory rights, in particular your warranty rights. However, your cooperation helps us assert our own claims against the transport company or transport insurer.
14. Statutory Liability for Defects
Statutory liability for defects applies.
In the case of defective goods, you have statutory rights, in particular the right to supplementary performance and, where the statutory requirements are met, the right to price reduction, withdrawal from the contract, or damages.
15. Guarantees and Customer Service
Information on any additional guarantees that may exist and their respective terms can be found with the relevant product or on separate information pages in our online shop.
You can reach our customer service for questions, complaints and objections on weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.:

16. Code of Conduct
We have subjected ourselves to the quality criteria of Trusted Shops.
The current quality criteria can be viewed on the Trusted Shops website.
17. Consumer Dispute Resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
18. Final Provisions
Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
The mandatory statutory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence shall apply.
